The scientists emphasised that this is merely a hypothetical scenario

Some researchers say the geo-engineering technique could limit rising temperatures that are causing climate change. After direct input from several aerospace and engine companies, the scientists said they have developed a design that could be suitable and could be ready to be deployed in 15 years, aiming to cut the rate of temperature change in half. (Photo: Pixabay) Spraying sun-dimming chemicals high above the Earth to slow global warming could be “remarkably inexpensive”, costing about $2.25 billion a year over a 15-year period, according to a study by US scientists. Some researchers say the geoengineering technique known as stratospheric aerosol injection (SAI) could limit rising temperatures that are causing climate change. As yet unproven and hypothetical, it would involve the use of huge hoses, cannons or specially ac motors Suppliers designed aircraft to spray large quantities of sulphate particles into the upper layer of the atmosphere to act as a reflective barrier against sunlight.

Total costs to launch a hypothetical SAI effort 15 years from now would be USD 3.5 billion, scientists at Harvard University said in a report published in the journal Environmental Research Letters, adding that average annual operating costs would be about USD 2.25 billion a year over 15 years.Discounting other methods of deployment because of cost and feasibility, the research assumes a special aircraft can be designed to fly at an altitude of about 20km and carry a load of 25 tonnes. After direct input from several aerospace and engine companies, the scientists said they have developed a design that could be suitable and could be ready to be deployed in 15 years, aiming to cut the rate of temperature change in half.

The scientists emphasised that this is merely a hypothetical scenario.“We make no judgment about the desirability of SAI. We simply show that a hypothetical deployment programme commencing 15 years hence, while both highly uncertain and ambitious, would indeed be technically possible from an engineering perspective. It would also be remarkably inexpensive,” the report said. There are risks to such unproven potential technologies. Scientists have said SAI could result in negative consequences such as causing droughts or extreme weather in other parts of the world, harm crop yields as well as potential public health and governance issues. It also does not address the issue of rising carbon dioxide emissions, the main greenhouse gas blamed for global warming.Commenting on the study, Phil Williamson at the University of East Anglia said: “Such scenarios are fraught with problems - and international agreement to go ahead with such action would seem near-impossible to achieve.”(Source)

But what do the stars indicate about Mallya Will he be able to bail out himself and his companies, which are under a cloud What makes Vijay such an influential yet flamboyant business tycoon Natal Chart:In the Solar Horoscope of Vijay Mallya, the presence of important planets in Sagittarius, which in itself is a carefree and flamboyant sign, accentuates the Sagittarian element and also infuses a sense of ambition laced with a frivolous streak. Commercial setbacks, financial instabilities, uncertainties in business and a lot more problems are foreseen for him in the upcoming months. This Konkani-speaking stylish man has always enjoyed great attention, be it for his presence in the IPL matches, or for some news related to his Airlines company or for being one of the creators of the concept of the Kingfisher Calender.

Mars’ placement in the sign Libra indicates that he is a person who believes in enjoying life and he surely is a passionate person. Though there are possibilities of alleviation of the problems related to Kingfisher Airlines, we can only expect the issues to get sorted in a comprehensive manner, post January 2017. Currently, the stars do not seem to be all smiles for him, as his airline company has been grounded due to financial irregularities and it has also been declared that the man who is called the “King of Good Times” is officially bankrupt! Intrigue and amazement capture our mind when we think about the phenomenon called Vijay Mallya.

Though from February 2016, he may start getting new ideas and clues to the current problems, his prestige may still continue to be under a threat, as post this Rahu will be transiting over his Natal Jupiter.Saturn will continue to tighten the screws and Rahu-Ketu will ensure that the uncertainty doesn’t fade away easily; respite is foreseen only After January 2017! Vijay Mallya Saturn will continue to tighten the screws and Rahu-Ketu will ensure that the uncertainty doesn’t fade away easily; respite is foreseen only After January 2017!Flamboyance, wealth and luxury are some terms that make for appropriate terms to describe the persona of Vijay Mallya. What planetary influences may have caused such a turn of fortunes for the Kingfisher boss, whose airlines company got grounded The problems that he has been facing get explained very clearly by the malefic influences being caused by the transiting Saturn and Rahu-Ketu.

Will the upcoming period prove to be a good one for him and will he be able to put Kingfisher Airlines on the same track as before Ganesha feels that it will be very difficult for Mallya to restore normalcy in the coming months. This man with various feathers in his hat is the Chairman of the UB Group, the co-owner of the Formula One team Force India, the owner of the Indian Premier League Cricket Team Royal Challengers Bangalore, a member of the World Motor Sport Council and a lot more! He is also a member of the Rajya Sabha as an independent. This configuration blesses him with great influence, affluence and fame. Moreover, the period between February and September will be a very fluctuating one, as the volatile Mars will be shuttling between the signs of Libra and Scorpio!

This phase will prove to fan motors Manufacturers be an ultimate testing phase for him and he will be required to maintain his composure. This period would have been a mentally turbulent period for him and will continue to be a stressful period till January 2017.Moreover, it can be observed that Mallya’s Sun and Jupiter are in each other’s signs, thus forming the Parivartana Maharajyoga. Jupiter will be lending some support and this will prove to be a silver lining for him as he will be able to come up with solutions with due wisdom and some good advice from his team of advisors. Mr Agag, an entrepreneur whose office in Hammersmith, West London, overlooks a particularly traffic-choked part of the capital, is a big fan of ‘disruptive’ technology that changes the existing order.Sounds like science fiction Not for Alejandro Agag, the chief executive of the Formula E electric series whose latest brainchild is an entirely driverless championship to be known as “Roborace”.“Maybe.If the Spaniard concedes that robot racing is not sport as the world knows it, he believes the technology could also find a home in more conventional competition — and maybe not in the too distant future. Every car will have a name, so that fans — and particularly gamers — can engage even without the human element. This is the kind of technology every car will have in the future,” he added.

This is a competition of technology which is not necessarily motorsport or sport at all.Imagine a motor race where the cars drive themselves from the garage to starting grid and then park up, ready for the drivers to jump in.The “Roborace” concept was conceived less than two months ago when Agag flew back from Beijing with Denis Sverdlov, founder of investment fund Kinetik.. For those who say robot racing is a long way from sport, Mr Agag can only concur. Sport is Formula E,” he added. He also likes to think out loud, the conversation free-wheeling from the dawn of classical civilisation to the realms of science fiction, but his series has pushed boundaries from the start.. Imagine a motor race where Wholesale disposer the cars drive themselves from the garage to starting grid and then park up, ready for the drivers to jump in. It was unveiled last month as a proposed support package for Formula E’s 2016-17 season, with 10 teams each fielding two identical all-electric cars in hour-long races. (Formula E) cars could drive themselves to the starting grid and the drivers can just walk and do interviews on the way,” Agag told Reuters when asked about potential crossover between Roborace and his main series.the cars could just go and place themselves on the grid and then we start the race..“I kind of just came up with it but.“I think that is a transfer we could organise quite soon, actually,” he added

The challenge of moving people and things around the world

Peddling away by itselfBut it’s not a car; it’s a three-wheeled Electric Vehicle (EV) that Chin has dubbed the “persuasive electric vehicle,” or PEV.The challenge of moving people and things around the world’s dense, growing major cities is bad and getting worse.”It has a top speed of 12 miles per hour and operates in bicycle lanes. As opposed to most shared bike systems, the PEV would “redistribute itself,” as Chin puts it—traveling autonomously from the drop-off point of one passenger to its next user’s location, thus solving the problem of shortages and oversupply of bikes at different times in different locations.Ryan Chin, a research scientist at the MIT Media Lab, specialises in dreaming up solutions to urban transportation problems. With a carbon fiber exterior shield, a foldable canopy, and a 250-watt assist motor, the autonomous tricycle is “persuasive” in that it’s designed to “encourage positive modal shifts in mobility behaviour in cities.

The challenge of moving people and things around the world’s dense, growing major cities is bad and getting worse. It can be adapted for a human rider or for package transport, and it has the sensors and intelligence to operate autonomously. And it could become a pervasive mode for urban package delivery, moving easily through crowded streets and reducing congestion and carbon emissions from gas-powered delivery vehicles. Ninety per cent of the world’s population growth in this century will be in “megacities”, and cities will soon account for 80 per cent of global carbon emissions, according to the United Nations Environment Program.Much of that will come from idling cars stuck in miles-long traffic jams.. His latest invention, unveiled at the EmTech conference earlier this week in Cambridge, Massachusetts, tries to marry the three dominant trends in urban automobiles: autonomy, vehicle sharing, and electrification.
